To create something decent, I must have built at least fifty didgeridoos, and by “decent,” I mean barely acceptable—nowhere near the quality I achieve today. Back then, I could never have imagined the skills I have now. I would have given anything to know even a fraction of what I’ve learned through trial and error.

For years, I’ve been passionate about studying the physics of the didgeridoo. While many focus on materials to improve the sound—something I’ve explored too—I realized that the shape of the instrument is the key factor.
I was fortunate to spend 23 years in an engineering office specializing in acoustics, gaining tools and knowledge that only a multinational company could provide. This unique background has shaped my understanding of the instrument and my teaching approach.
